Cork Thrift Store Website

The project brief is to create a website for the concept brand Cork, a little corner-shop that sells second-hand goods. Required pages were the landing page with a contact section, about page, shop page, and blog page. The website should invoke nostalgia while still being modern.

I designed the website in Figma, aimed to have a friendly tone and be easy to navigate, with graphics to highlight certain elements.

I chose gold as the primary color to emphasize the concept of finding treasure in a thrift store. For headings, I chose the typeface Playfair Display, which takes on a vintage look inspired by the Age of Enlightenment. For body text, I chose Poppins for being a rounded typeface, to contribute to the friendly feeling.

Using Figma, I took the wireframes and translated them into the final design.

High-fidelity landing page design of the Cork Thrift Store website, featuring a hero section titled "Find your treasure" with a photo of a teddy bear. The page contains contact and location information, new items display, and a call-to-action to check out the process to restore old toys.
Page titled "Learn about us", with placeholder text and the sub headings "Our story" and "Our mission".
Page titled "Our inventory changes every day!", showing a catalog of items for sale.
Blog page showing previews of several blog previews.

I developed the website in the visual web development platform Webflow. To handle shop items and blog articles, Webflow's Content Management System (CMS) is best to create a unified database of content and data, which can then be easily applied to add any data in that database to any page.
